Be prepared to participate as a volunteer mission team member. This workbook will guide your preparation on 4 strategic levels: Spiritual; Physical; Logistical; & Cultural. This six-session resource will enable you and the team to understand the culture and worldview of your destination, as well as giving guidance on how to work cooperatively with missionary strategies on the field.

This training is designed to ensure your group is prepared to travel in our world. The training includes:

·         Developing a contingency covenant

·         Know what is inside and outside of “the box”

·         Techniques for information security

·         Recognizing counter surveillance tactics

·         Surviving hostage situations

·         Minimizing sexual assault

·         Dealing with unfriendly government demands for information

Training will be offered in Mass Feeding, Recovery, Temporary Emergency Child Care, and Water Purification (class size limited). This is an overnight training. Housing, showers and 3 meals will be provided.

The NCBM intentionally leave out exact locations in order to demonstrate that disaster response requires patience, and flexibility.  However, in order to help you plan transportation times, we have listed the county.  This information should help you in preparing.  Use the Regional Map to help locate the closest training. You can attend ANY regional event. (DBC is in Region #8)
